Buzzi Unicem has executed today the agreement entered into with Wietersdorfer on February 18, 2014 and disclosed to the market on the same date. Specifically, effective as of August 1, 2014 Buzzi Unicem SpA has transferred to a subsidiary of Wietersdorfer (w&p Cementi SpA) the cement plant located in Cadola (Belluno); moreover the option has been formalized which entitles Wietersdorfer to acquire, within five years and without additional payment, the Travesio (Pordenone) cement plant, for a total consideration of about 22 million euro.

At the same time, Buzzi Unicem SpA has purchased a 25% interest in the share capital of w&p Cementi SpA and Salonit Anhovo Gradbeni Materiali d.d. (Slovenia), both subsidiaries of Wietersdorfer, for a total consideration of about 22 million euro.

Currently w&p Cementi SpA owns a grinding facility in San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone) with an annual production capacity of 0.3 million tons, while Salonit Anhovo Gradbeni Materiali d.d. operates a full cycle cement plant in Slovenia, recently refurbished and with an annual production capacity of about 1.3 million tons.
