With great sadness and regret we announce that shortly before Christmas, following an incurable illness, our independent board member Oliviero Maria Brega has passed away.

Oliviero Brega was in his second term as director of Buzzi Unicem. He was appointed with the minority list submitted by a group of Italian and foreign institutional investors. Since the present mandate he was also a member of the Control and Risk Committee.

Oliviero Brega carried out his role with passion and commitment, contributing always in a constructive manner to the board’s decisions. He was a very gentle and polite man, too.

Buzzi Unicem and the entire board of directors share the pain of the family, by expressing closeness and affection.
