On 27 September 2017, Buzzi Unicem obtained renewal of the UNI EN ISO 14001 certificate for the company’s main manufacturing sites and associated production activities (Vernasca, Barletta, Robilante, Augusta, Siniscola, Guidonia and Trino).
The certificate has already been issued in accordance with the new UNI EN ISO 14001: 2015 standard, one year ahead of the provisions of the standard itself.

RemTech Expo is the most specialized trade fair in Italy dedicated to the prevention and management of environmental and natural risks and territory remediation and requalification.
Besides the highly accredited exhibition area, the event also includes a high-level technical-scientific conference session and training courses for operators, authorities and decision- makers.
Buzzi Unicem participated in the 11th edition of RemTech Expo with its Solidur mixes, which have been specifically designed for the reclamation of contaminated sites. Our company is leader in this sector in Italy, having carried out almost 100 projects over a 15-year period involving reclamations, the requalification of contaminated sites, and waterproofing in hydraulic construction.
Once again this year, Buzzi Unicem had good opportunities for meetings and discussions with designers, operators and journalists in the sector.
During the event, Mauro Ganora, our Sales and Special Product Manager, gave a video interview about the Solidur product line with the online ingenio journal.
Buzzi Unicem is celebrating its 110-year anniversary and decided to commemorate this important milestone by changing the logo to mark the occasion.
Specifically, the text "110 YEARS" has been inserted under the name of the group using the Catamaran light font, which is clear and easy to read.
Throughout 2017, the new 110-year logo will be included on all corporate publications such as the financial statements (civil, consolidated and sustainability), the Portland magazine and possibly on other documents and presentations.
The Sustainability Report 2016 is published in the Sustainability pages of our web site in view of the Annual Shareholders' Meeting, held on May 12th 2017.
The report, with a brand new graphic lay out, discloses the social, environmental and economic indicators of the company reported according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines.
The report, drawn up and printed in two languages (Italian and English), presents, in the Italian version, a focus on Italian data.
